We have named this candle ‘Flùr a' Phrionnsa' which is the Gaelic translation of 'The prince's Flower'.

On 23rd July 1745, at the start of the Jacobite Rising, Bonnie Prince Charlie first stepped foot on Scottish soil on a beach on Eriskay known today as Coilleag a ’Phrionnsa /Prince Charlie’s Bay.

When he came ashore, he reached into his pocket and pulled out a handful of flower seeds, possible from a handkerchief. Those seeds produced this lovely pink flower which only grows on this spot on the island at Prince Charlie’s Bay.

This beautiful Candle fills your home with a lovely uplifting scent, which will remind you of walking through all the wild flowers in Eriskay.  Even when unlit, it leaves a beautiful aroma around your home/office.
