Inspired by the natural habitat of the Eriskay Pony on the Isle of Eriskay, this toorie reflects the island’s landscape, history, and living heritage.

Two shades of blue mirror the turquoise seas surrounding Eriskay, softening as they meet the pale sands of the shore. Pink within the design represents the convolvulus flower, linked to Bonnie Prince Charlie, who first set foot on Scottish soil on Eriskay in 1745 at the start of the Jacobite Rising.

The green tones symbolise the Common Grazings where the ponies roam freely in winter, deepening as the design rises towards Ben Scrien, dotted with purple heather. This reflects the summer grazing grounds, allowing crops to grow in the townships below.

A sun motif at the crown completes the design, celebrating the enduring connection between the Eriskay Pony and its island home.

All proceeds from the sale of each hat will go directly towards Comann Each nan Eilean - The Eriskay Pony Society.
